C and E Transcription does not play the "funny numbers" game with pricing, meaning a line does not necessarily contain 65 keystrokes. Some of our competitors use character line count for billing, which means a line with over 130 characters is billed at twice their normal rate!

An average page is approximately 28 lines. This is based on a 1" margin, a standard header and footer, and 12 point Times new Roman font without bold. All prices are negotiated and contigent on formatting, time of day or night submitted, and required turn-around time.

Contract Rates:

$5.32 / page. Clearly audible (one interviewer or interviewee): $.19 / line

Minor to moderately difficult sound quality: additional $125.00 per 60 min. of recording.

Moderate to extremely difficult sound quality: additional $200.00 per 60 min. of recording.

Severely inaudible recording (SPECIAL PROPRIETARY SOFTWARE AVAILABLE for recovering difficult recordings) - pricing by special request only / determined prior to work.
